Dear Beloved of God,
Probably the greatest thing we need to overcome is our low expectations of God and His input.
I grew up with Sunday School, and looking back I can see that I had a genuine care to get to know the things of God that I was being taught. But I had no idea that I could talk to Him, let alone, that He would respond.
I don't know what your experience has been, but what I've seen among many friends and acquaintances is an ignorance of the enriching times we can have with a real God that can bring us to a state of ecstasy at almost any time. God is our Father, our heavenly Father, but did you realize that makes Him your Daddy? That's not belittling Him, that's elevating Him to the place He really craves to be in your heart.
